If you have a leading role in change, you probably recognize this: most days are packed with meetings. There’s a constant stream of topics to discuss and align on with colleagues, vendors, and partners. Alignment is essential to achieving organizational goals. But so is time to think, reflect, and process. To create that space, meetings need to be shorter, more focused, and attended by the right people who can truly contribute. Sounds simple, right? Yet in many meetings, people dial in and out without saying a word beyond “Hi” and “Bye.” This doesn’t just cause frustration. It drains time, money, and productivity. Those “flies on the wall” could spend their time far more effectively elsewhere, creating real progress. With a few simple adjustments, your meetings can become significantly more effective; helping you move faster toward your goals. Want to know how? Swipe left

Between 50% and 80% of IT change projects miss their initial go-live date. Most change leads know this, yet we still commit to tight project plans and fixed deadlines. It’s no surprise: business stakeholders want to go live as soon as possible to create value for their internal or external customers. They push potential vendors to commit to specific dates, and vendors often say “yes” because they don’t want to lose the RFP. As a change lead, your job is to balance ambition with realism. Set a plan that’s too optimistic, and you’re almost guaranteed to disappoint; starting from sprint one. But spending endless time debating what’s “realistic” isn’t productive either. A slightly ambitious plan with early momentum usually beats a perfect plan that never gets agreed. So here you are: you’ve aligned expectations, agreed on the timeline, and you’re ready to kick off your change project. But how do you stay on track and actually increase your chances of going live on time? Swipe left

Picture this: your change project has finally kicked off. The project team is energized, key stakeholders are enthusiastic, and everything seems perfectly aligned for success. Nothing can stop you now. Until… whispers start circulating through the office. Doubt creeps in. Momentum slows. A saboteur has entered the scene. As a change leader, this should come as no surprise. In every organization, on every floor, in every team, saboteurs exist. Sometimes they undermine change deliberately; other times, they do it without realizing it. Either way, you must deal with them. It can be draining, but it’s essential if you want your change to succeed. As always, Subscripe is here to help. Take a deep breath, channel your inner James Bond, and let’s get to work.

Hiring isn’t always a success story. No matter how many interviews, assessments, or reference checks you run, some hires simply won’t be the right fit. That doesn’t necessarily mean they lack talent or skill. Think of it like football. A player can be a superstar in one team but struggle after transferring to another. The teammates, values, culture, and style of play all change and sometimes, things just don’t click. When that happens, leaders face one of the toughest calls: letting someone go. It’s a decision most avoid, but if you’re building a high-performance team, it’s essential. Holding on too long can hurt both the team and the individual who might thrive elsewhere. So gather your confidence, leave your doubts at the door, and take the first step toward creating the right fit for everyone involved by swiping left.

You can’t build a high-performing team without hiring talented people. And just like leading change, your hiring process should be as efficient and effective as possible. If you think seven rounds of interviews and endless assessments are the way to go, stop immediately. All you’re really testing is how well someone can interview, not how well they’ll perform in the role. Besides, a slow and overcomplicated process costs you top talent. While you’re scheduling the third round of “nice chats,” your best candidate is already signing with someone else. So… how should you hire instead? Swipe left (or click right) to discover a few simple, practical steps.
